This chair based class is the perfect practice for everyone: those who are desk bound, traveling a lot, or for whom getting up and down from the floor is not convenient. It makes yoga super accessible to all, including seniors and the less able-bodied, encouraging us to move and breathe in a gentle, mindful way, honouring our bodies no matter the physical challenges or limitations they may have. We will look at mobilising all major joints and muscle groups, strengthening, stretching and balance: sitting, standing and balancing (with chair support). The class will include simple movements, adapted postures, breath awareness, meditation and relaxation.
