Wellness & Mindfulness 4 week Course

Mindfulness is the practice of paying attention, without judgement to our immediate experience, in order to learn about, explore and understand ourselves better.
Studies suggest that practicing mindfulness can:
- increase feelings of happiness
- alleviate anxiety and depression
- aid stress management
- improving our ability to concentrate, sleep and make decisions, as well as the quality of our relationships.
Each week we will practice different mindfulness meditations and other techniques from Yoga, Yoga Nidra (the yoga of sleep) and Qi Gong including advice on practical ways to integrate these into daily activities at work, home and in relationships.

* Managing stress and learning how to shift from reaction to response.
* Recognizing and letting go of unhelpful habitual thoughts and mind states.
* The SleepWell yoga sequence and breathing techniques to aid relaxation
* iRest Yoga Nidra guided relaxation every week

The mind has a mind of its own: recognising and working with unhelpful thoughts
Week 3:
Calming Anxiety – Beating Insomnia:
practical tools for everyday use
Week 4:
Wellness and Happiness:
proven techniques for lifting depression and maintaining a well-balanced outlook
All sessions will combine talks, and experiential practices, with feedback and discussion.
